Excellent brewery inn with a beautiful beer garden. The light "Kühler Krug" beer is also one of my absolute favorites in a national and international comparison. The taste varies, albeit at a very high level, which is only fully exploited on site in the brewery (the bottlings available here and in some Karlsruhe markets, on the other hand, are solid, but rarely outstanding). There are also darks, wheat and other seasonal specialty beers. 5 liter cans are also available. The restaurant offers classic but contemporary home cooking, such as Baden cheese spaetzle, schnitzel variations, veal sausage or burgers (now also vegan on request). There is also a regularly changing season ticket. The presentation of the dishes on the plate is rather minimalistic and down-to-earth - if you don't let that fool you, you can look forward to a varied and delicious cuisine that goes very well with the beer. The staff is extremely friendly, always helpful and humorous - when there is a lot of activity, waving helps to get attention. In summer, the beer garden is recommended, which is beautifully located on the Günter-Klotz-Anlage and the Alb, and is therefore a nice destination, especially for walkers, and a large playground is directly opposite. There is a slightly reduced map in the lower area of ​​the beer garden, but that is to be tolerated. In bad weather there is a spacious interior with a somewhat peculiar decoration but comfortable seats - despite the large amount of space, a reservation can be a good idea. The brewery has a large number of parking spaces and is conveniently located near the bus and tram. Pick-up on site is also offered, as is the current order from Lieferando. Card payment is possible without any problems. If nobody answers the phone when there is a lot of traffic: Wait a few minutes and try again.

I gave it five stars, but I had to give the sauce directly over the fries because otherwise they would get sloppy and rubbery during the transport here. No sauce over the fries despite my consent on the phone :( and I'm sitting here again with sloppy fries .. also no breading on a Jägerschnitzel? I think you can do that better. Otherwise it tasted quite good and I can't complain. Service was great friendly and polite, I'd like to point that out

Maybe threaten less with the lawyer and simply cook better and value the quality of the food and its preparation. The beer is ok, waitress ... Well, everyone can have a bad day. Those are just not learned forces. And good staff is known to be hard to find ...

Visit on June 22, 2020. Beer was good, service unfriendly and we (3 people) didn't like spaetzle. My lawyer wrote a letter on my 2-star review. Something like that doesn't work!

Corona-compliant eating out! That is how it goes. The Kühle Krug in Karlsruhe is extremely spacious anyway. This is now a gigantic benefit. Safety distances are not a problem at all and do not bother you at all. You neither feel lonely nor forgotten;) As usual, the food is excellent in price and quality.

Let's start with the planning: Our requests were met extremely well and we were always able to reach someone by phone for further questions. Decoration: It was really great, we couldn't stop being amazed. Everything was very lovingly designed, there were nicely folded napkins, and a lot of candles on very beautiful candlesticks for the perfect touch of romance. When the candles burned down, they were immediately replaced. Everything went together! Food: There is particularly high praise here! All extra wishes were implemented super. We had the knight's meal. The meat is very tender, the fish is super smoked and very tasty. Side dishes, salads and desserts were all very tasty and appropriate for the wedding and the knight's meal. Everyone will definitely be full here! There was more than plenty of everything. Drink: Everyone found the beer very tasty. Our guests particularly liked the possibility of tapping themselves through the beer tower. Service: Wow !!! We were there for 12 hours and in the whole time there was NO gap in which we had the feeling that e.g. B. Missing drinks. On the contrary. Very regularly people asked about drinks, whether everything was good or whether we still had wishes! Also, by regularly covering the tables, there was no "glass chaos". Often you don't talk about the little things. But what should also be mentioned: the loving details, such as the little hearts on the coffee foam, were very well received by me (the bride, by the way :)). And finally the price-performance ratio: We think that's outstanding. We are more than satisfied with this and believe that there is far more performance than the price that was finally on the bill! Went there today with my husband. We were received quickly and assigned to a table. To drink was already on the table after less than 3 minutes. The food tasted very good, the portion size was really more than plentiful, you will definitely be full! The restaurant was well attended (it was already full other times when I was there, but there were not a few). Still, the food came quickly and the service was friendly. Thank you!

The food was great, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was very good. In my opinion, the waitress could have come to the table a little more often (but I miss that almost everywhere), hence a star deduction. All in all highly recommended and worth a visit!

I'm not a vegetarian myself, but didn't feel like meat. Of course Corona owes it, but you can't win, you can only lose. I hope it will be a little more enjoyable next time.

Plenty of space outside, good for the Corona period. Despite numerous guests, the service remains friendly and quick. The food is extensive and much better than the price suggests. The surroundings invite you to linger and the children can play in the Günter Klotz facility's playground. You can confidently go there more often!
